TRA 2012 Coaches Convention and Meeting

Coach Certification Meeting – 8:00 until 5:00 – Saturday 1/28/12 
This meeting is for any current coach or anyone who aspires to coach a team within the Tennessee Rugby Association.  This will be an interactive learning process for all participants.  The cost for this meeting will be $ 75.00 for each adult participant and $ 50.00 for any youth participant.  A Youth enrollee would be any currently enrolled high school or middle school participant who aspires to coach.  Lunch, certificate and participation shirt are provided with the enrollment fee.

Coach / Admin Meeting – 8:00 until Noon - Sunday 1/29/12
This meeting is for any coach who will be responsible for any administrative function for a team.  More than one coach from each can attend.  There is NO Cost associated with this meeting.  Each team should have a representative attend this meeting.  Topics to be covered will be:

  • On line Registration
  • Team Rosters
  • Registration Lock Out Information
  • New Insurance Information
  • Concussion Monitoring
  • State Tournament preliminary scheduling
  • State Tournament Information
  • Additional Topics

Be sure to register as soon as possible for the Coach / Admin meeting so we can get a head count in case the venue needs to be changed to accommodate a large attendance.  If the registration exceeds the room allowance, we may have to move venues for this meeting only.  Registration instructions are shown below.

Registration Process
Log into the website at www.TRARugby.org and select the “Register for Coaching Clinic” button on the right side of the page.  If you plan on attending the Coach / Admin meeting, please register as soon as possible.  If you also plan on attending the Saturday session to be certified as a coach, be sure to register for either the adult registration or youth registration and pay your fee.
