The Smoky Mountain Athletic Club is pleased to announce the creation of a
fall rugby league for high school students in East Tennessee. This academy
is for both experienced and beginning players.

• Open to all area high school boys and girls
• Training during the week at Tuesdays and Thursdays as announced
• Practices and games on the weekends (Saturday mornings)
• All sessions held at the Tennessee Rugby Park on Oak Ridge Highway
• Optional skills and training sessions also available during the week at no additional expense
• Gain valuable experience as you prepare for the high school sevens and 15s season
• All participants receive a limited edition practice jersey 
  

No prior rugby experience is necessary. Core skills will be developed in a safe and teaching environment. The basics of tackling, passing, kicking, rucking, mauling and restarts (scrums, lineouts, etc) will be covered in both the 15s rugby and 7s rugby environment. Games (primarily sevens) will be played by forming independent teams from available participants and will not be formed based on school affiliation.
