Upstart All Blacks Capture Conference Bowl Championship
May 02, 2010 (Knoxville, TN) - The All Blacks, a team comprised of students from West and Central High Schools, fought back a determined team from Bearden to claim the 2010 SMAC Bowl Conference Championship. The All Blacks ran across three tries in the first half and then withstood a Bulldog rally to claim the victory and earn a trip to the state tournament as the SMAC representative in the Plate Championship tournament.
The All Blacks advanced to the title game with a 32-14 victory over McMinn County and Bearden outlasted Powell 15-12 to earn a stop in the championship match.
