Farragut upends Catholic to win Bowl Championship
May 02, 2009 (Knoxville, TN) - Farragut Blue defeated Knoxville Catholic 32-12 on Sunday to claim the 2009 SMAC Bowl Championship. The win sends Farragut to the state championship tournament as the SMAC representative in the Plate Division next weekend in Murfreesboro.

Catholic reached the finals with a tight victory over Bearden while Farragut advanced to the conference final after a fierce battle with Central.
